Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, TX seeks a Patient Care Technician to deliver direct patient support under a licensed nurse's supervision. You will follow the care plan, assist with ADLs, and help meet family needs while considering the patient’s age and development.

Opportunities available in: Med/Surg, Ortho, Neuro, Telemetry, Progressive Care, Observation, and Oncology.

Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician handles various duties under a licensed nurse's supervision. Helps deliver patient care and meet family needs. Follows the care plan, considering the patient's age and development stage.

What can you expect to do as a Patient Care Tech?

• Collects and records patient data, including vital signs.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, and transferring.
• Responds to call lights and conducts regular patient rounds.
• Provides personal hygiene care and assists with patient clean-up.
• Adheres to Baylor Scott & White policies and procedures.
• Performs glucose monitoring and collects specimens as requested.
• Will be required to directly support multiple patients during each shift.
