Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, TX is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for full-time night shifts. This role supports nurses by delivering patient care and assisting with daily activities while following care plans.

You will work across Med/Surg, Ortho, Neuro, Telemetry, Progressive Care, Observation, and Oncology units. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, glucose checks, specimen collection, rounds, and direct patient support for multiple patients per shift, all while

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician handles various duties under a licensed nurse's supervision. Helps deliver patient care and meet family needs. Follows the care plan, considering the patient's age and development stage.

What can you expect to do as a Patient Care Tech?

• Collects and records patient data, including vital signs.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, and transferring.
• Responds to call lights and conducts regular patient rounds.
