Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, TX is seeking a Patient Care Technician for full-time day shifts across Med/Surg, Neuro, Telemetry, Observation, and Oncology.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of healthcare experience.
• BLS certification or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient data, including vital signs.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Respond to call lights and conduct regular rounds.
• Provide personal hygiene care and assist with patient clean-up.
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
• Perform glucose monitoring and collect specimens as requested.
• Support multiple patients during each shift.

What can you expect to do as a Patient Care Tech?

• Collects and records patient data, including vital signs.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, and transferring.
• Responds to call lights and conducts regular patient rounds.
• Provides personal hygiene care and assists with patient clean-up.
• Adheres to Baylor Scott & White policies and procedures.
• Performs glucose monitoring and collects specimens as requested.
• Will be required to directly support multiple patients during each shift.
