Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Waco, TX seeks a Patient Care Technician to support licensed nurses in delivering care and meeting family needs. You will follow care plans, monitor patients, and assist with daily activities, improving patient well-being in a busy hospital setting.

This FTDays role offers opportunities across Med Surg, PCU, ICU, Mother and Baby, Neo-Nursing, Inpatient Rehab, and Float Pool, with comprehensive benefits and ongoing training from day one.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collect and record patient data, vital signs, and assist with activities of daily living (ADL).
• Respond to call lights and perform patient rounds.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge paperwork.
• Help with patient hygiene and care as directed by a licensed nurse.

Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician performs various duties under a licensed nurse's supervision. Helps deliver patient care and meet family needs. Follows the care plan, considering the patient's age and development stage.

Essential Functions Of The Role

• Collect and record patient data, record vital signs and help patients with activities of daily living (ADL).
• Answer call lights and complete patient rounds.
• Help with completing/maintaining files and forms for admission, transfer, and discharges.
• Take care of patient personal hygiene and help with patient clean up.
• Comply with Baylor Scott and White policies and procedures.
