Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking a night-shift, PRN Medical-Surgical Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Roswell, NM. You will provide basic patient care under nursing direction, assist with daily activities, and help monitor patients’ progress with vital signs and specimen collection.

Preferred candidates have phlebotomy training, knowledge of medical terminology, and may be pursuing CNA/PCT/EMT-P certifications. A high school diploma or GED is required, and BLS is required within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Works in an entry-level position providing basic patient care under the direction of nursing and medical staff.
• Assists patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observed patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered nurses or other medical staff.
• Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.
• Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
