Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a day shift, full-time Intermediate Care Cardiac PCU Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nursing teams with basic patient care and daily activities. You will monitor vital signs, assist with ADLs, and help with transport and housekeeping while documenting observations for the Registered Nurse.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and BLS within 14 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Works in an entry-level position providing basic patient care under the direction of nursing and medical staff.
• Assists patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observe patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to the Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
• Obtain and record patients' vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
• Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
