Norman Regional is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide basic patient care on the IMC unit. You will work 7p-7a in a night shift role, helping maintain a safe, clean environment and assisting with vital signs and routine procedures.

The position includes clerical support and coordination duties within the department. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and CNA certification (or six months CNA experience).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification or 6 months CNA experience.
• Six months of recent CNA experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.

Responsabilités

Compensation / Benefits

• $14.29-$23.34/hr depending on previous work experience
• Evening differential $1.50/hr.

Norman Regional Hospital IntermediateCare (IMC) cares for a wide variety of critical patients with complex medical conditions. NRHS IMC team is the step down unit and dedicated stroke unit providing award winning advanced stroke care.

Job Summary

• Provides basic patient care
• Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment
• Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurse
• Provides general nursing care and routine treatment /procedures
• Facilitates processing of patients
• Provides clerical receptionist support
• Provides Coordinating Support
• Performs additional duties related to the specific needs of the department

Qualifications

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent GED
• Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant

Experience

• Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant
• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience

(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).

Licensure/Certification

• Basic Life Support *(BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
