Job Details

• Full-Time, 7am-7pm, 36 hours per week (three 12-hour shifts) with rotating weekends and holidays.

Job Summary

A Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides basic healthcare and support to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or healthcare professional. Responsibilities include sanitizing and cleaning patient rooms, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with basic needs like feeding and grooming.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide basic patient care including comfort, vital signs, hygiene, and mobility assistance.
• Act as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Accurately document patient care activities.
• Participate in hand-offs and reports regarding patient status.
• Perform delegated tasks after competency validation.
• Mobilize patients using safe transfer techniques to foster independence.
• Encourage patient independence and personalize care based on patient interests.

Qualifications

Education: None required.

Licensure/Certification: BLS (preferred upon hire, must obtain prior to direct patient care). Completion of nursing aide training, passing STNA or CNA exams, or relevant clinical experience.

Experience: Recent experience in acute care, physician's office, home health/hospice, or long-term care preferred but not required.

Skills & Abilities: Problem-solving, excellent communication, professionalism, proactive in dynamic environments.

Training

EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training preferred.
