Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Patient Care Tech to provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nurses. The role includes assisting with ADLs, taking vital signs, and documenting patient information in a safe, patient-centered environment.

We offer a paid 6-week PCT Academy for those without experience, combining classroom instruction with hands-on training to meet UAP requirements. Multiple hospital locations are involved; current employees must meet eligibility rules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Implements direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and basic patient needs.
• Collects vital signs and assists with patient safety and comfort.
• Documents patient care activities using correct medical terminology.
• Participates in ensuring supplies and equipment meet patient needs and supports safety initiatives.
