Job summary

Community Bridges is seeking a Patient Care Tech in Tucson, AZ. The role involves direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, working within a multidisciplinary behavioral health team to support patients in crisis, on-site or via telecommunication where needed.

The technician will contribute to safety and quality of care, handling environmental and patient safety concerns and assisting in crisis situations as directed by supervisors and the RN team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months of health care related experience providing exposure to behavioral and medical crisis situations.
• Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN, in person or via telecommunication.
• Identify and communicate safety concerns on the unit to RN staff or supervisor.
• Assist with crisis interventions and support as part of the multidisciplinary treatment team.

Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team that provides direct care to behavioral health patients working under the medical direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) in person or telephonic. The primary focus is direct patient care as directed and delegated by the RN, Lead PCT, Operation Supervisor, Operations Administrator, or Program Manager. The PCT is also responsible for the safety of the unit they are assigned to, including identifying environmental and patient specific safety concerns, and elevating those concerns to the RN, RN Manager, Operations Supervisor, or designee as needed.

Skills/Requirements

• Highschool diploma or GED required. Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months of health care related experience where his or her prior experience would provide adequate exposure to both behavioral and medical crisis situations.
• Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders preferred.
