Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for Med-Surg Telemetry on a PRN night shift in Gallatin, Tennessee. You will assist with daily living activities, support direct patient care, observe patient conditions, and communicate changes to nurses to adapt care plans. Experience with POC testing, EKGs, IV starts, and Foley catheters is valued.

Position emphasizes compassionate patient support, adherence to BLS, and collaborative teamwork within a 167-bed facility serving the community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• State of TN CNA license preferred, can be considered without high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year certified nurse tech or EMT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide or assist with direct patient care.
• Observe and record patient behavior and activities.
• Report changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff and suggest modifications to treatment plans.
• Assist with POC testing and EKGs as needed.
• Perform IV starts and urinary Foley catheter insertions.

Skills

CNA license preferred

BLS within 30 days

1 year CNA/EMT experience preferred
