Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Monitor Technician to provide continuous surveillance of telemetry monitors and document cardiac rhythms during night shifts in Powell, TN.

You will identify arrhythmias, communicate findings to the healthcare team, and ensure monitoring equipment is properly configured and functioning. Requirements include a telemetry or EKG interpretation course and 0–2 years of clerical or clinical experience in a medical setting, with Basic Life Support (BCLS)

Qualifications

• Completion of a telemetry or EKG interpretation course during orientation.
• 0-2 years of clerical and/or clinical experience in a medical setting.

Responsibilities

• Continuously observes telemetry monitors and records rhythm strips at set intervals.
• Identifies rhythm changes and notifies licensed staff promptly.
• Maintains communication with team to ensure coordinated care.
• Troubleshoots telemetry equipment and escalates issues as needed.
• Ensures proper lead placement and equipment tracking during shifts.
