Job summary

TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN is seeking a Lead Patient Care Tech to join the Progressive Care unit. You will deliver hands-on patient care, assist with procedures, and mentor both new and experienced staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

You will monitor telemetry, document care, and uphold safety and infection prevention standards while collaborating with the nursing team on care plans and rounds.

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with ADLs, mobility, comfort, vital signs, specimens, procedures, and telemetry monitoring.
• Document patient care accurately and communicate updates to the nursing team for coordinated care.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment by following infection prevention practices and ensuring supplies and equipment.
• Round on patients regularly, provide compassionate communication to promote comfort and trust.
• Train new team members and share updates on policies and quality initiatives.
