Wheeling Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will contribute to high-quality patient care alongside licensed medical staff.

Responsibilities include observing patient conditions, assisting with admissions/discharges, recording vitals, maintaining hygiene, and supporting department operations. Must have a High School Diploma and BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.

Responsabilidades

• Observes and reports patient concerns or changes in condition to a registered nurse immediately.
• Assists the Registered Nurse with admission, transfer, discharge and general patient care duties.
• Records vital signs, assists in personal hygiene and comfort measures; records intake and outputs.
• Assists in specimen collection and other activities of assigned patients.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment to prevent infections and ensure safety of patients, visitors and employees.
• Reports equipment repairs to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Prepares patients for examinations and diagnostic procedures.
• Communicates nutrition issues to RN, such as poor appetite or diet changes.
• Assists with administrative tasks to support department operations.
• Answers patient call bell and relays messages.
