Job summary

Qualifications

• Prior patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports patient concerns to a RN immediately.
• Assists with admission, transfer, discharge and general care duties.
• Records vital signs, assists in personal hygiene and comfort measures.
• Assists in specimen collection and other patient care activities.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment to prevent infections.
• Reports equipment repairs to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Prepares patients for examinations and diagnostic procedures.
• Communicates nutrition issues to the RN.
• Supports department operations with administrative tasks.
• Answers patient call bells and relays messages.
