Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. is hiring a Patient Care Technician to support nursing staff and deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will assist patients with activities of daily living, perform hygiene procedures, and contribute to a unit-based, self-directed care team to ensure comfort and safety. Required credentials include BLS and Georgia CNA on the GA Registry, plus CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) or C-CMA (NHA); a minimum of one year of direct patient care experience

Qualifications

• BLS certification is REQUIRED.
• Active Georgia CNA certification is REQUIRED.
• CMA (AAMA) is an acceptable credential.
• RMA (AMT) is an acceptable credential.
• C-CMA (NHA) is an acceptable credential.
• Minimum of one year of direct patient care experience as CNA/PCT/ED tech or similar.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assistance and patient care to meet comfort, safety and personal needs.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and perform hygiene-related procedures.
• Work within a unit-based, self-directed patient care team alongside licensed and non-licensed staff.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Technician provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. Performs duties with the construct of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry

OR

Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)

OR

Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)

OR

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)

• One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.

PREFERRED

• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
