Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Follows established plan of patient care.
• Assists with admission, transfer, discharge and transport of patients.
• Implements patient safety measures and assists with moving, sitting, and ambulating patients.
• Raises side rails as indicated and applies restraints under RN direction.
• Performs basic nursing tasks such as monitoring vital signs and providing comfort measures.
• Documents observations and reports patient status to the nurse and team.
