Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Care Tech III in Worcester, MA. The role is non-exempt with a hiring range of $20.60–$28.59 per hour for a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week. Final offers may vary with hours scheduled and prorating for part-time shifts.

Qualifications

• Provides patient care under the direction of licensed clinicians.
• Communicates observations and changes to nurses and physicians.
• Performs unit-specific procedures and supports the care team.

Responsibilities

• Provides clear, timely communication to the RN regarding observations and changes seen in patients.
• Provides constant observation of high-risk patients as assigned by the Resource Nurse.
• Assists patient with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, ambulating, meals and nourishment.
• Assists in moving, lifting, positioning, and transporting patients by utilizing proper safety techniques and body mechanics.
• Takes and records vital signs and prepares specimens for transport to lab.
