Job summary

Baptist Health Arkansas is seeking a Patient Care Tech I to support intensive care and extended care units. You will assist with basic care, monitoring, and hygiene while maintaining compassionate, patient-centered communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• 12 college-level credit hours including English Composition with a C or higher and GPA 2.0 or greater.
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required; CPR training provided during education.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with basic care, monitoring and hygiene.
• Spend time with patient to provide compassionate, patient-centered care and effective communication with family and health team.
• Support the care team by coordinating with colleagues to ensure timely and complete care.

Job description

Patient Care Tech I - Intensive Care - Extended Care

The primary function of the PCT is to assist the patient and family with basic patient care, monitoring, hygiene, and to help ensure care is complete. The PCT works as an essential part of the patient care team. As the member who spends most of their time in the presence of the patient, compassion, caring, and excellent human interaction skills are necessary along with excellent communication skills both to and from the patient and family, and to and from the rest of the healthcare team.

12 college level credit hours that include a passing grade in English Compositionwith a C or higher and an overall GPA of 2.0 or greater.(transcripts will be verified upon application)
Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
Service industry experience preferred but not required.
Will provide education that includes: CPR, Skills training, Crucial Conversations, and Hospitality in Healthcare
