Job summary

Baptist Health Arkansas seeks a Patient Care Technician to assist patients and families with basic care, monitoring, and hygiene as part of the care team.

You will work with the nursing staff to ensure compassionate, high-quality care and effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Education and training provided, including CPR and hospitality in healthcare; flexible hours may be required.

Qualifications

• 12 college level credit hours with a passing grade in English Composition (C or higher) and an overall GPA of 2.0 or greater.
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• Service industry experience preferred but not required.

Job description

The primary function of the PCT is to assist the patient and family with basic patient care, monitoring, hygiene, and to help ensure care is complete. The PCT works as an essential part of the patient care team. As the member who spends most of their time in the presence of the patient, compassion, caring, and excellent human interaction skills are necessary along with excellent communication skills both to and from the patient and family, and to and from the rest of the healthcare team.

• 12 college level credit hours that include a passing grade in English Compositionwith a C or higher and an overall GPA of 2.0 or greater.(transcripts will be verified upon application)
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• Service industry experience preferred but not required.
• Will provide education that includes: CPR, Skills training, Crucial Conversations, and Hospitality in Healthcare
