Job summary

Baptist Health Arkansas is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist patients with basic care, monitoring, and hygiene as part of the patient care team. The role emphasizes compassion, strong communication, and collaboration with family and healthcare staff.

Education provided includes CPR, skills training, Crucial Conversations, and Hospitality in Healthcare; healthcare experience is preferred but not required. Expect 48 hours bi-weekly with flexible scheduling.

• 12 college credits including English Composition with a C or higher and GPA 2.0+.
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• Service industry experience preferred but not required.

Job description

The primary function of the PCT is to assist the patient and family with basic patient care, monitoring, hygiene, and to help ensure care is complete. The PCT works as an essential part of the patient care team. As the member who spends most of their time in the presence of the patient, compassion, caring, and excellent human interaction skills are necessary along with excellent communication skills both to and from the patient and family, and to and from the rest of the healthcare team.

Other information:

• 12 college level credit hours that include a passing grade in English Compositionwith a C or higher and an overall GPA of 2.0 or greater.(transcripts will be verified upon application)
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• Service industry experience preferred but not required.
• Will provide education that includes: CPR, Skills training, Crucial Conversations, and Hospitality in Healthcare
