Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a nurse aide to provide direct patient care and assist with non-direct unit coordination. The role supports RNs in caring for stable and acutely ill patients, practicing medical asepsis, and documenting care in the electronic medical record.

You will work under RN supervision, receive assignments from Charge Nurse, and help with admissions, discharges, and transfers, while maintaining time management and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care activities such as ADLs, vital signs, mobility and specimen collection.
• Participates in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives and maintains a clean environment.
• Documents vital signs, I&O, treatments and reports changes to nursing staff.
• Assists with unit activities like supply stocking and equipment cleaning.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
