Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to support registered nurses in providing direct patient care in a fast-paced hospital unit in Baltimore, MD. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals, collect specimens, and help with transfers and discharges under supervision.

Responsibilities include documenting in electronic medical records, maintaining patient comfort and safety, and collaborating with the care team to promote excellent patient

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent and Maryland CNA licensure (CNA I or II) with CPR certification.
• At least 6 months of direct patient care experience preferred.
• Ability to read and write English and communicate clearly with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under direct nurse supervision and assist with activities of daily living.
• Perform routine vital signs, weights, and glucose testing; document in EMR.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges; transport patients as needed.
• Insert/remove basic lines, assist with Foley catheters, and perform simple dressing changes as directed.
• Support nursing workflow, maintain clean rooms, stock supplies, and participate in quality initiatives.
