Baylor Scott & White Health in Waxahachie, TX seeks a Patient Care Technician - Health Unit Coordinator to support clerical and patient care tasks under a licensed nurse’s supervision. You will collect data, monitor vitals, assist with daily activities, and help maintain unit records and communication with the nursing team.

The position is full-time nights with three twelve-hour shifts per week, rotating weekends. Requirements include HS Diploma/GED and <1 year experience; BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Experience with patient care tasks preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Collects and records patient data and reports to the nursing team.
• Supports patients with daily activities like hygiene, dressing, eating, and mobility.
• Maintains unit records, files, and reference documents.
• Answers calls and communicates with nursing staff and other personnel.
• Transports patients and supplies as needed.
• Maintains supplies inventory and restocks as required.
• Assists with non-medical duties as directed by nurses or physicians.
• Cleans patient bedside units and equipment.
