Responsibilities

• Collects and records patient data and vital signs, reporting promptly to the nursing team.
• Assists patients with daily activities and responds to call lights and requests.
• Maintains unit and patient records, files, and reference documents; coordinates communications.
• Prepares reports, purchase orders, and memos using computer programs.
• Greets visitors, answers phones, and supports nursing staff as needed.
• Transports patients and supplies; runs errands for the unit.
• Maintains inventory and equipment; supports non-medical patient care tasks as needed.
• Attends in-services and unit meetings.
