Job summary

Tufts Medicine is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for Lowell General Hospital - ICU G Dept. This full-time role (36 hours/week) includes day/evening shifts from 7am to 7pm with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

You will assist with ADLs under a nurse's direction, prepare rooms, maintain safety, transport patients, collect specimens, document data, and support the care team with timely, compassionate service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a nurse, performs all aspects of activities of daily living (ADLs) patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety.
• Prepares patient rooms for admission.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for the patient.
• Prioritizes patient care according to nursing direction and discharge plan.
• Transports patient to procedures/discharge within/from hospital as directed.
• Cleans and operates equipment safely and correctly.
