Job summary

Scotland Health Care System in Laurinburg, North Carolina is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant for the Med Surg 2E unit. You will perform routine personal care, assist with activities of daily living, and support nursing staff with daily operations.

The role requires a NC CNA listing, BLS, and at least 1 year of CNA experience, with a high school diploma or equivalent. Computer skills are preferred to help manage records and observations in a busy care setting.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina CNA listing, BLS American Heart, Aegis.
• 1 Year CNA Experience; Computer Skills (Preferred)
• High School Diploma Or Equivalent

Responsibilities

• Performs routine personal care and assists with activities of daily living for patients.
• Assists patients with body mechanics such as ambulation, turning, positioning, transfer to wheelchairs/stretchers, and assists with range of motion.
• Performs special procedures as assigned and notifies the nurse of any abnormal findings.
• Documents nursing assistant care provided to patients according to scope and policy.
• Observes infection control measures.
• Performs clerical duties in maintaining reports and records of the patient care unit.
• Performs other duties delegated by licensed nurse.
• Follows patient safety guidelines (e.g., patient identifiers, labeling specimens at the bedside).
• Admits patients and assists in completing and recording admission data if applicable.
• Awareness of age-specific competencies across Neonatal to Geriatric populations.
• Maintains self-growth and education to maintain competence.
• Keeps a clean, neat, orderly working area.
• Performs other related duties as necessary.
