LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, VA seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our nursing team. You will assist Registered Nurses with hands-on care, vital signs, mobility, and daily tasks, contributing to a safe, compassionate patient environment.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, non-medicated care, maintaining clean spaces, managing supplies, and effective communication with patients and the care team to uphold quality and safety.

Qualifications

• BCLS certification or instructor status must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Healthcare experience from a hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Providing non‑medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection.
• Keeping patient areas clean and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
