Job summary

Lee's Summit Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician for its Float Pool. The role supports Registered Nurses with hands-on patient care, daily living activities, and safety in a collaborative nursing team.

Responsibilities include helping with vital signs, mobility, personal care, and ensuring a clean, organized environment while maintaining infection-control practices and effective communication with patients and families.

Qualifications

• CNA certification or completion of PCT essentials training program.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families and the care team to support safety and quality.
