Trinity Health Livonia Campus is seeking a Patient Care Tech for the Emergency Department to provide direct patient care under RN supervision. The role supports ADL completion, sterile techniques, and a safe, compassionate care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of direct care experience or completion of CENA, PCT, MA, or EMT course.
• Student nurses must have completed their nursing fundamentals class of a BSN program.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing care as delegated by the RN in caring for patients.
• Assists patients in completing ADLs.
• Demonstrates sterile or aseptic technique as appropriate when performing delegated activities.
• Assists in establishing and maintaining a clean, safe patient care environment for patients and families.
• Records patient information to meet documentation and charge requirements.
• Completes delegated unit-specific activities.

Position Purpose

Under the direction of a registered nurse, the patient care technicianis responsible fordirect patient care considering age specific, developmental,culturaland spiritual needs. Demonstrates unit/area-designated competencies. Assists in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe and conducive to patient/familywell beingincluding concepts ofrelationship basedcare.

Shifts Available: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am Status available: Full-time, Part-time, Contingent/PRN Every Other Weekend and 3 Holidays per year required for Full-time and Part-time team members.

Required Qualifications

• Education High school diploma or GED.
