Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Patient Care Tech in Washington, DC for day shifts. The role provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and handles non-invasive tasks aligned with competency documentation, including basic phlebotomy where certified.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma, six months of hospital or medical experience, and may have CNA or Medical Assistant training.

Qualifications

• Education/Qualification: High School diploma
• At least six months of recent Hospital, long-term care, or medical work experience, which provided knowledge of basic patient-care activities related to Multi-skilled technician duties
• Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant Course, or two years of nursing school
• CNA certification preferred
• Skills: Fundamental computer skills and keyboard familiarity
• Able to speak and write English Fluently
• Demonstrated communication, organization and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care tasks under the direction of the Registered Nurse and performs various tasks as competency documentation designates.
• Position provides direct patient care limited to non-invasive procedures, unless specifically certified in phlebotomy.
