Job summary

We seek individuals with a high school diploma or GED and CNAs or nursing aide training. CPR/BLS within 3 months post-hire is required. The position is full-time, on-site, with rotating shifts and hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years direct patient care in a hospital setting preferred.
• Completion of Nursing Aide training or CNA certification required per MS Dept. of Health.
• CPR/BLS certification within 3 months post-hire, per AHA Heartsaver.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care and emotional support to patients and families.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility).
• Measure, record, and report vital signs and changes to the nurse.
• Perform basic patient care procedures per policy and competency.
• Collect and transport specimens; assist with patient transport for tests and procedures.
• Support clinical staff with treatments and care activities as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records.
• Respond to call lights and communicate patient needs to the care team.
• Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and proper infection control practices.
• Assist with unit operations such as stocking supplies and inventory management.
• Serve as a preceptor to new staff when assigned.
