Job summary

Overlake Medical Center and Clinics is seeking a Patient Care Technician (CNA)/Nurse Technician for the Medical Unit West 4. This 40-bed unit offers growth into critical care areas while caring for medical and overflow psychiatric patients.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, CNA training, NA-C and MA-R licensure (Overlake sponsorship available), BLS, and preferred ECG know-how. English proficiency and computer familiarity are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program or equivalent nursing training.
• NA-C certification required.
• MA-R licensure required (Overlake Hospital sponsorship available).
• BLS for Health Care Providers certification required.
• One year of recent healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EKG preferred.
• Computer familiarity preferred.
• Knowledge and handling of hospital equipment and record keeping.
• Must read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Follow scope of practice per WACs and facility standards.
• Assist with nursing tasks and clinical duties during orientation and training.
• Care for a diverse population of medical and overflow psychiatric patients.
