Job summary

Overlake Medical Center and Clinics is seeking a Patient Care Technician (CNA)/Nurse Technician for the Medical Unit. West 4 is a 40 bed unit focused on caring for diverse medical and overflow psychiatric patients.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, CNA training, NA-C, MA-R sponsorship, and BLS. The role offers growth opportunities and adherence to hospital standards in a supportive team setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program or equivalent documented nursing training is required.
• Nursing Assistant-Certified (NA-C) is required.
• Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) is required (Overlake Hospital will sponsor licensure).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Flexibly support patient care on the Medical Unit and assist with admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Follow nursing scope of practice and facility standards as a Nursing Technician.
• Maintain patient safety and report changes to the supervising RN.
• Assist in education and orientation during orientation and skills checklists.
