Overlake Medical Center in the Puget Sound region is seeking a Patient Care Technician (CNA)/Nurse Technician for the Medical Unit on West 4. This unit is a 40-bed area caring for a diverse population of medical and overflow psychiatric patients, with opportunities for growth toward advanced care.

Candidates must have a high school diploma, CNA/NA-C and MA-R licensure (Overlake will sponsor MA-R), and BLS. Strong reading/writing in English and basic computer skills are required; familiarity with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program or equivalent documented nursing training required.
• Nursing Assistant-Certified (NA-C) required.
• Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) also required (Overlake Hospital will sponsor this licensure).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers certification required.
• One year recent experience in a health care setting involving patient contact is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EKG preferred.
• Computer familiarity is preferred.
• Knowledge and handling of hospital equipment, record keeping.
• Ability to read, write and speak in the English language.
