Job summary

SCA Health in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients and clinical staff, ensuring patient safety and smooth center operations. The role emphasizes careful handling of equipment, adherence to safety protocols, and effective communication with the care team.

The ideal candidate is a High School graduate, with MA/CNA/PCT preference, knowledge of medical terminology, and a current or soon-to-be BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Certified Medical Assistant (MA)/Nursing Assistant (CNA)/PCT preferred.
• Successful completion of BLS Course within 90 days of employment or current BLS.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Protecting the patient from injury from extraneous objects and sources.
• Demonstrating safe operation of equipment; report and correct unsafe situations.
• Adhering to standard precautions including PPE.
• Proactively optimizes opportunities to enhance flow and efficiency of the center.

• Protecting the patient from injury caused by extraneous objects and chemical, electrical, mechanical, and thermal sources
• Demonstrating safe operation of equipment machinery and follows procedures for reporting and correcting an unsafe situation
• Adhering to standard precautions including the use of personal protective equipment
• P proactively optimizes opportunities to enhance flow and efficiency of the center

Qualifications

Patient Care Technician (PCT) Requirements:

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Certified Medical Assistant (MA)/Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Patient Care (PCT) preferred.
• Successful completion of BLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
