Job summary

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our behavioral health team in Arizona. The PCT will deliver direct patient care under RN supervision and support the safety and needs of patients on the unit.

The role emphasizes crisis awareness, teamwork with the multidisciplinary staff, and compassionate care for individuals experiencing crisis or mental health challenges.

Qualifications

• The job requires a high school diploma or GED with preferred associate degree or higher.
• Minimum of 6 months of healthcare-related experience.
• Preference for candidates with recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to behavioral health patients under RN supervision.
• Maintain patient safety and report concerns to the RN or supervisor.
• Support multi-disciplinary treatment team in daily care activities.
• Engage with patients in crisis situations with appropriate de-escalation.

Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team that provides direct care to behavioral health patients working under the medical direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) in person or telephonic. The primary focus is direct patient care as directed and delegated by the RN, Lead PCT, Operation Supervisor, Operations Administrator, or Program Manager. The PCT is also responsible for the safety of the unit they are assigned to, including identifying environmental and patient specific safety concerns, and elevating those concerns to the RN, RN Manager, Operation Supervisor, or designee as needed.

Skills/Requirements

• Highschool diploma or GED required. Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months of health care related experience where his or her prior experience would provide adequate exposure to both behavioral and medical crisis situations.
• Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders preferred.
