Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support ambulatory surgical center operations. You will assist preoperative and postoperative care, monitor vital signs, and help maintain a safe, compassionate environment for patients.

Under RN and physician supervision, you will use basic medical equipment, ensure infection control standards, stock supplies, and provide emotional support to patients and families throughout the perioperative process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of patient care techniques and infection control protocols.
• Ability to monitor and record patient vital signs and use basic medical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support preoperative patient preparation, including gowning and positioning.
• Provide postoperative care, monitor discomfort and mobility.
• Measure and record vital signs and report changes.
• Assist nursing and surgical teams with patient positioning, transport and procedural support.
• Maintain sterile and clean environments and infection control standards.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families before and after procedures.
• Stock and maintain medical supplies in patient care areas.
• Follow ASC policies and safety regulations.
