Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) to join the 3 East Adult and Pediatric Med/Surg team. The role supports direct patient care under RN supervision in a 32-bed unit, spanning ages from newborn to 18 years, with emphasis on mobility, pain management and patient teaching.

Required: high school diploma or GED and at least one year of direct care experience or completion of CENA/PCT/MA/EMT training. Training is provided to prepare for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum one year of direct care experience or completion of PCT/CENA/MA/EMT training.
• Student nurses must have completed nursing fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support ADLs.
• Assist in bathing, toileting, positioning, transfers, ambulation and feeding.
• Collect and process specimens and manage IV catheter procedures.
• Document patient information accurately in the medical record.
• Work in a 32-bed unit serving adults and pediatrics, focusing on pain management and mobility.
• Collaborate with RNs, PCTs, CNAs, unit clerks and other staff.
