Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide direct patient care under RN supervision on a 32-bed unit for adults and pediatrics. You will assist with ADLs, monitor patient wellbeing, and support the care team in achieving safe, compassionate care delivery.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and either one year of direct care experience or completion of CENA/PCT/MA/EMT training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year direct care experience or completion of CENA/PCT/MA/EMT course.
• Student nurses must have completed their nursing fundamentals class of a BSN program.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with ADLs including bathing, showering, toileting, positioning, turning, transferring, ambulation and feeding.
• Collects and sends specimens (blood, blood cultures) and manages peripheral IV catheters.
• Documents patient information and required data in the appropriate systems to meet documentation requirements.
• Works on a 32-bed unit serving adults and pediatrics, focusing on pain management, mobility and patient education.
• Collaborates with RNs, PCTs, CNAs, unit clerks, and other care team members to deliver safe, compassionate care.
