Job summary

Xanitos, Inc. is hiring part-time Patient Sitters for 1st shift at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven, MS. 4-day workweek: Thursday–Sunday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM; pay $14.74/hour.

You will monitor patients visually and audibly, stay at the bedside, report safety concerns, complete observation notes, and assist with basic tasks. Requires high school diploma or GED and CPR/BLS certification; Xanitos provides training. This role emphasizes patient safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand written English communications related to patient information.
• CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned patient’s condition visually and audibly at all times.
• Remain at bedside unless relieved by staff.
• Redirect patient from at-risk behaviors verbally.
• Complete observation reports at designated times.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to report safety concerns.
• Assist with keeping patient rooms clean, safe, and orderly.
