Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of multiple insurance authorization requirements.
• 1-2 years hospital environment experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet timelines.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Customer service experience required.
• Strong clerical and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule tests/procedure cases across clinics, surgery, radiology and labs.
• Coordinate with departments and ensure complete patient demographics.
• Enter insurance authorizations and notify departments as needed.
• Prepare and distribute the surgical schedule and on-call list.
