Job summary

Mount Sinai is seeking a Business Associate to support the KCC 5N Med/Tele PT Evenings shift. You will help manage patient census, medical records, and charge capture while coordinating tests and procedures within Clinical Specialty Services.

The role emphasizes accurate data management, patient flow, and teamwork with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure efficient bed turnover and quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or equivalent training.
• Six months healthcare related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains census, demographic and charge information including beds, system updates, and charge capture.
• May assist in admission, discharge, and transfer processes.
• Schedules tests, procedures and follow-up appointments.
• Maintains medical records and charts, and supports unit-specific HIM processes.
• Ensures chart completion and accurate record keeping according to policy.
• Monitors patient throughput and communicates progress to nursing staff.
• Assists patients with guest services and basic needs.
• Greets visitors, answers phones, and provides information and referrals.
