Job summary

Care New England Health System is seeking a Patient Services Assistant to perform nursing, phlebotomy and patient care tasks under supervision of a licensed nurse. Qualifications

• Must maintain a current RI Department of Health CNA license
• CPR certification required

Responsibilities

• Assists with nursing, phlebotomy and patient care tasks under supervision
• Obtains blood specimens by venipuncture and skin punctures; performs heel-sticks for newborns
• Performs EKG tracings and maintains related records
• transports patients, specimens, supplies and equipment as needed
• Maintains equipment, supplies and a safe, efficient work environment
• Collaborates with health care team to ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety
