Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of licensed clinicians. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, interprofessional collaboration, and maintaining a safe environment across units, including telehealth support as needed.

Responsibilities include rounds, equipment readiness, and prompt response to call lights, with potential involvement in virtual safety activities and remote exams

Formación

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs in an interprofessional team.
• Ability to complete delegated tasks within scope of role.
• Knowledge of personal care and hygiene for quality of life.
• Knowledge of patient safety risks and how to mitigate them.
• Respectful communication with patients, families and care partners from diverse backgrounds.
• Understanding of effective communication concepts and tools.
• BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) upon hire.

Responsabilidades

• Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision of licensed clinicians.
• Maintains a safe patient care environment.
• Assists in maintaining supplies and equipment for unit operations.
• Conducts patient rounds, anticipates needs and responds to call lights promptly.
• May serve as virtual safety associate based on campus needs.
• May facilitate remote clinical exams using peripheral devices and telehealth tools.
