Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian in Bronxville, NY is seeking a Patient Care Partner for the 3 North - Telemetry unit on a part-time night shift (11:00pm–7:15am) with rotating weekends and holidays. You will support nurses by performing phlebotomy, EKGs, vitals signs monitoring and glucose testing, providing comfort and compassion at the bedside.

Requires High School Diploma, completion of a Patient Care Tech Program or Phlebotomy Certification and EKG Certification, one year experience as Nursing

Qualifications

• : High School Diploma is required.
• {Ex: Certification in Phlebotomy and EKG or demonstrated experience performing electrocardiograms}
• {Completion of approved Patient Care Tech Program}
• {One year experience as Nursing Assistant}
• {BLS Certification}

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, vitals signs monitoring, and blood glucose testing.
• Provide patient comfort and compassionate bedside care.
• Collaborate with nurses and nursing attendants to support care.
• Be the eyes and ears of the nursing team across telemetry units.
• Attend to nighttime responsibilities during night shift.

Preferred Criteria:

• Minimum of one year experience in psychiatry or related field

Required Criteria :

• High School Diploma
• Successful completion of approved Patient Care Tech Program or a Phlebotomy Certification and EKG Certification or demonstrated experience in performing electrocardiograms
• One year experience as a Nursing Assistant
• BLS Certification
