Job summary

Compass Oncology is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at East Cancer Center in Clackamas, Oregon. The role schedules a variety of patient appointments, coordinates referrals, and acts as a liaison between patients and medical staff.

The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, experience in a medical setting, and proficiency with MS Office. The successful candidate will support team operations and patient care in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of office experience, preferably in a medical setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology highly desired.
• Ability to read, interpret, and execute provider orders.
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments including office visits, labs, chemotherapy, and other related appointments.
• Coordinate external referrals as ordered by the provider.
• Collect and maintain accurate patient demographics and insurance information.
• Answer calls and triage to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain confidentiality and collaborate across departments.
