Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program.
• Experience with an electronic health record is preferred.
• Must be CPR certified or become certified during probationary period and maintain certification throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains medical supplies inventory and performs preventative maintenance to keep medical equipment operating.
• Verifies patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit.
• Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests and reporting patient history summary.
• Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by safeguarding medical records and confidentiality.
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with regulations.
• Keeps supplies ready by inventory stock, placing orders and verifying receipt.
• Keeps equipment operating by following instructions, troubleshooting, maintenance and calling for repairs.
• Meets commitments, works independently, handles change, stays focused under pressure, and attends as required.
