McLaren Health Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care across physician practices. The role includes greeting patients, registering them, collecting co-pays, verifying insurance, and assisting with exams and procedures.

You will document clinical information, process referrals, and maintain accurate records in the EMR system. Preferred candidates have CMA certification, AHA BLS, EMR experience, and a background in medical billing procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months experience as a medical assistant.
• Electronic medical record experience preferred.
• Experience with insurance billing procedures preferred.
• One-year experience in a medical office with multiple providers preferred.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients and provide excellent customer service by answering phones and directing callers.
• Register patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays and deductibles, and schedule appointments.
• Document interventions, vital signs, and medications in the patient chart or computer system.
• Administer procedures such as EKGs, immunizations, venipuncture, and blood draws as directed.
• Prepare patient rooms, equipment, and supplies; assist providers during visits.
• Process lab slips, referrals, and prescriptions as directed; maintain confidentiality.
