Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a Professional Medical Assistant to welcome patients, gather health information, and prepare exam rooms. You will document medical histories, assist with specimen collection, and coordinate with departments to support a positive patient experience.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, teamwork with clinicians, and adherence to safety standards. High school diploma or GED and an MGH-approved Medical Assistant program are required; CPR certification is needed.

Qualifications

Superior service attitude, compassionate and kind.
Energetic and upbeat; self-motivated.
Works well independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
Strong organizational and time management skills with priorities.
Flexible and able to handle multiple tasks.
Experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Outlook.
Comfortable with ongoing process improvements.
Current CPR certification.
Graduate of an MGH approved Medical Assistant program.

Responsibilities

Welcome, interview, and assist patients while collecting vital signs and health information.
Prepare patients, exam rooms, equipment, and supplies for visits.
Accurately document patient information, medical histories, and test results.
Support laboratory specimen collection and preparation.
Assist with office duties, patient communication, and coordination with other departments.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
